To the Sisters and Brothers of CUPE Local 3903:

OPSEU Local 559, the Support Staff workers of Centennial College want to extend our support to you during this trying time. A work stoppage is never easy and the decision to do so is never made lightly.

Workers everywhere are under siege, not only in this province, but on a global scale. You do not stand alone!

As more and more full-time positions are replaced by Mc-Jobs; as we see our pay cheques stagnating and our benefits slowly being stripped away; the need to stand up for fair and decent treatment has never been mandated more urgently.

It’s hard to believe that after so many years, after so many struggles, in this day and age, people are still fighting for equity, fairness and a decent living wage – but the fact is – they are…we are ...you are!!

It’s difficult to stand up to the employer, to make the sacrifices you must make now make in order to achieve the gains you need and deserve - we know that, but we applaud you for your courage and your resolve.

We applaud you for fighting for the respect and fairness you deserve and must get! What seems to be a sacrifice now will turn into gains in the long run – if you hold strong.

Stand together! You will win!
